WUJA for Haiti
With the project “WUJA for Haiti”, three organizations (Foi et Joie – Haiti, the World Union of Jesuit Alumni/ae and Entreculturas) aim to contribute to the development of Haitian children and youth through quality improvement of basic education and vocational training.
Our two specific goals are:
1) To ensure 773 children from 7 daycares and primary schools (located in the Northwest and Northeast Regions) exercise their right to quality education. We will achieve this by improving the teaching and learning processes of 6 centers, as well as their executive management, and by improving the pupils’ health habits and their access to potable water in one center.
2) To promote the job placement of 120 young students in Port-au-Prince through their acquisition of technical skills in Cooking/Baking, Electricity and Window Installation Techniques.
