WUJA Congress 2017 – New Information Bulletin
Dear Fellow Jesuit Alumni and Friends,
I can’t wait. I can’t wait. I can’t wait. I can’t wait.
I can’t wait to meet all of you and share stories of our love for the Jesuits. Stories we have from our schools, our parishes, our retreat houses, our Jesuit ministries. Wow. Just think of the power of those stories and what they will mean to our relationships with each other and with our God!
I can’t wait to hear the presentations given by people who also have a deep history with the Jesuits. People like Father Greg Boyle, whose ministry with gangs has been an inspiration to us all. Or Dikembe Mutombo, a legendary professional basketball player, who has done so much to improve the health, education, and quality of life for his home in the Republic of the Congo. And so many others who will have messages for us that will bring us closer to the goal of “Men and Women for Others.”
And I can’t wait to have some fun with all of you. Everything from a tour of the famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to a professional baseball game, to a concert that will showcase a newly composed oratorio, dedicated to our Congress.
And lastly, I can’t wait to pray with all of you. There is so much in this world that calls us to pray. And together we will pray for all the injustice in the world and for God’s inspiration to each of us to follow His call for love.
Please join us in Cleveland, Ohio from June 28 to July 2 for the first World Union of Jesuit Alumni Congress to be held in the United States. Go to our web site and learn more about this amazing event.
