Appeal for a Jesuit school in Lebanon in great financial difficulty
Dear Alumni Friends
Here is a new appeal for a Jesuit school in Lebanon in great financial difficulty (Saint-Elie High School) received in June 2022 from Fr. Marek Cielsik sj, rector of the Jesuit schools in the plain of Bekaa in Lebanon) and that the Franklin Alumni Association (“our alma mater”) has already kindly agreed to broadcast to its network of members.
Many thanks also to you for helping with your donation (entering in the new campaign of the “dollar arrupe” or the “euro arrupe” opened on 5 February, the anniversary of the death of Father Pedro Arrupe) the World Association Pedro Arrupe to reach its goal: provide a minimum of 20,000 euros (one third of the budget established by this school for the construction of an artesian well (for its water supply) and the purchase of solar panels (for the production of its electricity)), equipment absolutely necessary to drastically reduce its energy costs.
